Metered Parking
Rate: $2 per hour
Time Limits: Most metered parking is limited to 1- or 2-hour parking.
Hours of Operation:
- Most meters operate 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday–Saturday (Not enforced on Sundays and holidays)
- Little Italy meters operate 9 a.m. – 10 p.m., daily
Payment Options:
Meters accept coins and credit cards.
Text-to-Pay is available. Newer downtown meters also support contactless payment.
Multispace Meters
(Near the Convention Center)
Multispace meters are located on portions of Almaden Blvd and Woz Way.
Rates:
- $7 daily rate on non-event days
- $5–$25 on event days
(Effective rates are displayed at pay stations.)
Payment Options:
Pay using cash (bills) or credit cards.
Text-to-Pay is available.
On-Street Parking
(Near SAP Center / Diridon Station Area)
Single-space meters are available.
Rates:
- $4 daily rate on non-event days
- $5–$20 during events
Payment Options:
Pay at the meter using credit cards, contactless cards, or mobile payments, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
Text-to-Pay is available.
