Discounted Downtown Employee Parking Permit
Effective October 2026, the City of San José offers a Discounted Downtown Employee Parking Permit, at 50% off the Global Monthly Permit rate, to employees working at businesses within the City’s parking meter districts and earning no more than 50% over the current minimum wage, not including gratuities.
- Fast Food Workers: $30.00/hour – Statewide fast food minimum wage 20.00+50%(10.00) = $30.00
- All Others: $27.68/hour – City of San José minimum wage 18.45+50%(9.23) = $27.68
